The Faber windbox assembly is an engineered fabrication that is designed to house the burner assembly /assemblies, supply the burner(s) with a balanced, turbulent-fee source of combustion air, and structurally support many of the burner(s) subassemblies. Typically the main gas, main oil, atomizing and ignition trains are mounted on self-supporting steel arms that extend from the front and sides of the windbox. The panel that houses the burner management and combustion control system is mounted on the side of the windbox.
Windboxes are fabricated from 1/4″ A-36 carbon steel plate, with a 3/8″ thick top plate (for package burners that are equipped with windbox top mounted forced draft fan) properly stiffened and outfitted with baffles to ensure even air distribution from the forced draft fan. Our windbox is equipped with a 19-1/2″ x 15-1/2″ access door, and a set of 1″ plugged pipe couplings for instrumentation. The bottom of the windbox has 1″ plugged pipe coupling for a drain
