Faber’s PPI-268 portable propane ignition system is designed to ignite your forced draft burner if your existing pilot system fails due to component failure or loss of natural gas service. In the time it takes your boiler to re-purge, this unit can be removed from the charger, wheeled to the burner front, and placed in position to light your burner. The button-activated handheld pilot fits down the sight port of any burner with a 2-1/2” I.D. or larger sight port. The PPI-268 delivers up to 268,000 BTU/hr heat input (enough to ignite the main oil flame on a typical forced draft burner) and will stay lit when exposed to burner throat velocities of up to 6,000 feet-per-minute. Powered by a 12 volt battery, Faber’s PPI-268 can deliver 55 “light-offs” on a single charge. The PPI-268 is fueled by two 14.1 oz disposable propane bottles which contain enough fuel for 17 “light-offs” at full pilot capacity or up to 55 “light-offs” at reduced pilot capacity.

Designed for safe and practical use, Faber’s PPI-268 is equipped with a keyed ignition switch, 10-inch wheels for easy transport, and a handle assembly that conveniently stows the hand-held pilot. The PPI-268 arrives ready for service at your facility with battery, charging unit, two 14.1oz propane bottles, and an operating/instruction manual. Typical delivery is 4 to 6 weeks.
